past snow and ice and deep blue skies.
From lands of sunrise way afar
We make our way to reach Kashgar.

From far we come and far we walk
from dawn each day till it gets dark.
Dark loom the mountains, drawing near
through foothills steep, valleys appear
and glaciers glint in fading light
snow capped peaks come into sight.

Confluence is a shawl inspired by the joining
of two rivers, coming from opposite directions,
joining and mingling where they meet.
To showcase the difference between two rivers
that might have run over different ground,
rocks and mountains, the colors are inversed,
which conveniently also uses up an even
amount of yarn.
This crescent shaped shawl is worked in separate
pieces, joined and knit together via a
center section, with no picking up of stitches
involved.

I twist and turn and then meander,
I rush and ripple and then wander.
From slate to clay to sand and gravel,
my color shows you where I’ve travelled.
As waters join, mingle and grow,
they tell a tale of where I go!

Shoots and twigs grow and stretch up towards the light, over and under everything are twisted roots.
All that and more you’ll find on the forest floor.

A more substantial shawl that can keep you warm while mushroom hunting as much as walking through windswept streets.

This textured shawl uses simple techniques to produce stunning results. Knit, purl, and two types of increases is all you need. And there is a video tutorial for the easy appliqué crochet technique used.[/x_text][/x_column][x_column bg_color=”” type=”2/3″ style=”padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px; “][x_text]Yarn
